Lucknow: Specialty coffee brand Third Wave Coffee has expanded its presence in Lucknow with the launch of two new cafés, adding another destination for the city’s growing community of coffee enthusiasts.
The two outlets have been opened in Hazratganj and Gomti Nagar. The Hazratganj café marks the brand’s 250th outlet, while the two launches take Third Wave Coffee’s total number of outlets in North India to 72.

Founded in Bengaluru in 2016, Third Wave Coffee has expanded across several major Indian cities. Its entry into Lucknow is aimed at offering specialty coffee, signature beverages, artisanal bakes, quick bites and curated food options in a contemporary café environment.
The Hazratganj location was selected for its established position as a major retail, dining and social destination in the city. The cafés have been designed to cater to young customers, professionals, students, families and coffee lovers.
The brand currently offers around 30 varieties of coffee, beverages and food options, with plans to add more products in response to changing consumer preferences.

Third Wave Coffee CEO Rajat Luthra said reaching 250 cafés was a significant milestone for the company. He said Lucknow’s expanding café culture and growing interest in quality coffee made the city an important market for the brand.
Co-founder Anirudh Sharma said the company wanted its Lucknow cafés to be more than places to have coffee, providing customers with spaces to spend time with friends and family while enjoying food and beverages.
The company has also invested in a food innovation lab and modern roastery to support product development and operational expansion. Its app offers technology-enabled services including advance ordering, personalised experiences and loyalty benefits.
Third Wave Coffee plans to expand its network to around 320 cafés by financial year 2027, with further expansion planned across metropolitan, Tier-1 and Tier-2 cities.
